What information we collect, use, and why

We may collect or use the following information for research or archiving purposes:

  • Personal information, such as:

    • Names and contact details

    • City of residence

    • Records of consent, where appropriate

  • Medical information, such as:

    • Relevant medical history

    • Racial/ethnic origin

    • Health measurements, such as your weight, height and Body Mass Index

We may also use your email to send you information about Woost, our services and future surveys that you may participate in, unless you have told us not to do so.

Lawful bases and data protection rights

Our lawful basis for collecting or using your personal information for research or archiving purposes is:

  • Consent – upon accepting our privacy policy, you consent to our use, processing and storage of your personal data. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to object. To be clear, you do have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

How long we keep your information

We will retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected. At Woost, we believe having as large a dataset as possible will be beneficial for observing changes in the healthcare services provided to women and understanding how we can address the gaps in these services.

How we protect your data

Your privacy is important to us. In accordance with data protection legislation and in order to keep your personal information confidential, we will pseudonymise your data where necessary. Any surveys you may take will be anonymised and will not be stored or processed in a way that identifies you. 

Furthermore, any personal health or medical information you provide to us will be stored in a secure and encrypted system by Typeform (located on AWS) within the UK and EU.

If you have any concerns about our use of your personal data, you can make a complaint to us using the contact details above. You may also request the deletion of your personal data, such as your name, contact details and answers to any survey questions, at any time.
